Blog

Short for Web log, a blog is a publicly accessed personal Web journal. A blog is shared by the public, and authors generally update their journals on a regular basis. A "blogger" is one who actively keeps an online Web journal, and "blogging" is the activity of online journaling, or maintaining a Web journal. A blog is the text or commentary produced by the author. Text can include hypertext, audio and video bites, as well as links to other files. Posts to a blog are typically arranged in chronological order, beginning with most recent entries. Blogs are commonly presented in Rich Site Summary (RSS) format, meaning a group of XML file formats for the Web.
